Acolytes and Crucifers
Acolytes and Crucifers assist during the service by lighting and extinguishing candles, distributing and collecting offering plates, carrying the cross during the processional and recessional, and various other duties during the service.
Altar Guild
Our Altar Guild prepares our worship space for service every Sunday, while also ensuring we have the supplies and resources needed every day to maintain our worship experience.
Lay Assistants
Lay assistants assist the presiding pastor by reciting prayers, assisting in communion, and general service duties.
Lectors
Lectors assist the pastor in delivering the readings for the day prior to the Gospel.

As an usher or greeter, you would help manage and guide our service, meet and greet members and visitors, and provide any needed assistance or guidance to our worshippers.

There are a variety of musical opportunities at Christ Lutheran Church. These include Chancel Choir, Bell Ensemble, and special opportunities for those that may play other instruments or sing.

Evangelism
The Evangelism Ministry enhances membership through nurturing and caring for our members and visitors, while also spreading our vision and mission out to the community.
Community Outreach
We have numerous opportunities in which we help serve our community at large. These include Thanksgiving baskets, Angel Tree, the Lamb’s Basket food pantry, coat drives, the Quilting Group, and a number of other seasonal and year round service opportunities.

Our IT & Communications ministry helps livestream our service every week and assists with maintaining and evolving our digital and electronic footprint and infrastructure.

As part of our Faith Formation ministry, you can assist in coordinating and implementing educational programs to help further faith based classes and development.
Sports
Bring your bat and glove and join in representing Christ Lutheran Church on the diamond in the Western Henrico Church Softball league.
Finance and Stewardship
As a member of our Finance & Stewardship ministy, you will help maintain and encourage contributions and finances to continue to serve our members and the community.
