Rev.  Elizabeth Radtke

Pastor

Pastor Liz Radtke is a graduate of Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA, and was born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida. She has been in the ministry for 18 years, serving in parishes in Worthington, MN, and Atascadero, CA, prior to moving closer to family in VA. Most recently Pastor Radtke served in the Office of the Bishop for the Virginia Synod as the Director for Faith Formation, Conflict Mediation, and Congregation and Leadership Support.   Pastor Radtke returned to parish ministry because she was excited to walk with the people of God in their daily lives as they traverse this world and work to practice the kingdom of God in this place, now. She is married to Pastor Ryan Radtke who is serving at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mechanicsville, and they have three teenaged children.   As a former science teacher, Pastor Radtke loves looking at faith and the world through the lenses of curiosity and wonder, exploring new ways to see how we can honor the full person that God created each one of us to be. Pastor Radtke loves walking with others as they experiment with different ways to honor God and each other through new, and ancient, practices.   In her spare time Pastor Radtke loves to read books (or listen to audiobooks), play board games, and be a soccer and band mom.
