Adult Faith Formation

ADULT FAITH FORMATION:

ADULT FAITH DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES

If you have not done so already, do yourself a favor & take advantage of our adult faith development series designed to help understand your faith & how it relates to your every day life challenges.

Our current and upcoming sessions are: GOLIATH MUST FALL:  Our current series, based on the book and video “Goliath Must Fall, Winning the Battle Against Your Giants” is facilitated by Kayley Greenday.  Four sessions remain in this series:  April 22-Rejection Must Fall, April 29-Comfort Must Fall, May 6-Anger Must Fall, May 13-Addiction Must Fall

The topic of our next spring adult faith development series is “How Lutherans Interpret the Bible”.  It will be based on the lectures of Dr. Mark Allan Powell, noted Lutheran pastor & theologian.  What exactly is different about the way Lutherans read the Bible?  This 6 week series will begin on Sunday, May 20 and will be facilitated by Trenton Hizer.

BY HEART. CONVERSATIONS WITH MARTIN LUTHER’S SMALL CATECHISM: This summer Pr. Kniseley will facilitate a study of Luther’s Small Catechism.  The Small Catechism is one of the foundations of our Lutheran faith. This session will be a great introduction to those who never went through a catechism class, as well as a beneficial “refresher” course for all who are members of the Lutheran brotherhood.  This session will begin on Sunday, July

Everyone is invited and encouraged to contribute to these  conversations.

Remember, the Sunday School time frame has been expanded so that we have a full hour for discussion and learning. Class starts at 9:15 am. Please plan to join us for this six part series. There are videos and study guides involved and I think it will be a great step in all of our faith journeys. We invite all to attend.

Off Topic Bible Study meets on the 1st & 3rd Wed. of each month at 6:00 p.m. It is led by Lucas Cochran.   Make it a plan for 2018 to join this unique and on-going study.
