Faith Formation

Faith Formation Ministry

Faith Formation, sometimes referred to as Christian Education, is a core ministry for us at Christ Lutheran.  We believe it is vitally important for every Christian to have a basic understanding of the Bible and of what it means to be a Christian.  Our Faith Formation Ministry is designed to go beyond the traditional concept of “Sunday School”. It is intended to help believers of all ages in their exploration and development of their faith, regardless of who they are and wherever they are in their faith journey.  As such, baptism or membership in our Lutheran fellowship is not required nor expected to participate in any of our Faith Formation programs.

Join us each Sunday for our Faith Formation Hour from 9:15 to 10:15 AM.  We have programs for disciples of all ages!

Adult Programs

Our adult program concentrates on gaining better knowledge and understanding of the Bible and of our Christian faith. We also explore the works of Martin Luther and other theologians to understand the differences and simularities between Lutheranism and other expressions of the Christian faith.

The adult class also includes occasional guest speakers on topics that illustrate living our faith in our everyday lives as well as classes on specific Bible books, stories and concepts.

Youth Programs

Beginning Christians is a program of subjects and activities designed for kids ages 4-11 and their parents to become familiar with Bible stories and the Christian faith.

Confirmation Class is a study of the basic tenets of the Lutheran Faith including the Ten Commandments, Apostle’s Creed and the Lord’s Prayer.  Designed for youth ages 12-14, but open to any who wish to participate.

Post Confirmation classes designed for high schoolers and young adults.  A variety of topics centered on how your faith can help you deal constructively with life challenges in contemporary society.
