English As A Second Language

  Located in the Lakeside area Christ Lutheran had a unique opportunity to partner with Casa De Dios to offer English as a Second Language classes.  The classes meet on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. Currently there are 4 classes based on needs of the students.

This program is a ministry supported  by the congregation. All of the services of the school are free of charge to its students except for the yearly registration fee of $10 per ELS adult student.

General Information

  1. There is a ten dollar registration fee for each adult student. Students may keep their workbooks at the end of the year.
  2. We have CLOSED REGISTRATION. For continuity of the instruction new students are only accepted during the registration period.
  3. Currently the classes are for members of Casa De Dios only.

School Schedule

The ELS school traditionally holds classes on Tuesday nights from 7:00 PM to 8:45 PM starting in September and concluding in May with a family picnic to end the school year. The schedule of the Henrico County Public School System is followed and there are no classes for holidays, winter and spring breaks. In the case of inclement weather, the English Language School cancels class if Henrico County School system cancels class for that day.
