Rev. James Kniseley joined our fellowship as our pastor in July 2017. Pastor Kniseley has had a long career in the Lutheran ministry. Prior to joining CLC, he was the interim pastor for St. Jacobs and Trinity Lutheran churches in Harrisonburg, and led them through a successful call process. Earlier in his career, Pastor served with several congregations in California and Kansas. He served with Resurrection Lutheran in Fredericksburg for fifteen years up until he retired in 2015. Since retirement, Pastor has served as the Synod’s special assistant on stewardship in addition to serving as interim pastor in Harrisonburg. In addition to his previous interim assignments, Pastor Kniseley is also formally certified in the interim ministry function. As such, he is well equipped to help and guide CLC through the necessary steps in our transition process to ultimately calling a new permanent pastor. Pastor Jim, as he likes to be called, is a passionate history buff, and received a BA in History from UCLA before earning his Doctor of Ministry from Claremont College.
Cindy Adams Cindy Adams, Administrative Assistant

Cindy came to Christ Lutheran Church in March 2016, as a part time assistant to the Pastor and the congregation. She has over 25 years of experience in office expertise, including former positions with a Real Estate Firm, delivery company, as well as a church office. She has a servant’s heart and is an asset to our church facility.

  Linda Keener, Music Director

Linda came to Christ Lutheran Church in July 1992, when there was only one worship service, an adult choir, and a cherub choir that was led by a volunteer. Shortly thereafter, the congregation added a second worship service and she began an older children’s choir and the Brass Ensemble. Since then, she has added an Early (vocal) Ensemble, a Bell Choir, and a Bell Ensemble. Her guiding principle is that the music of the church is a ministry-not a job. Involving people in that ministry and seeing them grow in it is a huge blessing.

Jim Schnellenberger, Parish Administrator

The Parish Coordinator is a volunteer position requiring an investment of about 12 hours per week, Monday thru Friday.
The Parish Coordinator will be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Congregation Council for a term of 1 year.  There are no limits on the number of terms served.  Council will assign a liaison to coordinate with the Parish Coordinator.
