This ministry had it’s origins back in the 1980s with one of our high school Sunday School classes.
The Angel Tree ministry provides Christmas gifts for children of local families in need. Beginning in early November, Moody Middle School provides us with a list of families who may benefit from this ministry. Our volunteers call the families and obtain their Christmas wishes.
Around Thanksgiving we place cutout angels with the child’s first name and wish on a tree in the Commons. Members of the church take one or more of these names and purchase the desired gift. The wrapped gifts are then returned to the church by the middle of December. Volunteers organize the gifts by family and arrange a time for them to be picked up.
Anyone wishing to participate in this ministry should contact Paul Quel through the church office.
